How I Make My Artwork
Embracing the Ebb and Flow of Creativity

As an abstract expressionist, I've come to realize that my creative journey is a constant ebb and flow. There are times of intense inspiration, followed by periods of drought and self-doubt. Ten months ago, I was not sure where I was moving in my career. My passion for painting led me to switch careers, even though I knew little about abstraction as an art form. This transition was guided by my mentor, who saw my potential as an abstract artist. Her belief in me has been a beacon, helping me grow and create high valued artworks.

The Intuitive Process
People often ask how I create my artworks and whether I analyze all principles of abstract art before starting. The truth is, I don't start with a concept or plan. My approach is deeply intuitive. I begin with a blank canvas, my tools, and materials. From there, I let my inner thoughts and emotions guide me. The shapes, sizes, strokes, colors, and tools I use are decided in the moment, flowing naturally from within. As I paint, I rotate the canvas or move around it, taking both short and long breaks. I don't touch the canvas until I feel inspired. Sometimes, in the midst of daily chores, I simply stare at the canvas, waiting for new insights. This reflective process allows me to see if all principles and elements are falling into place, but only at a much later stage.

Continuous Learning and Experimentation
Creating art might seem effortless, but it demands constant observation, research, and experimentation. To gain new insights, I stay fearless and continuously explore new tools, materials, and techniques. This commitment to learning and experimenting is crucial for my growth as an artist.

The Role of My Mentor
My mentor has been instrumental in my journey. Her guidance has pushed me beyond my boundaries, instilling fearlessness and the importance of setting and achieving goals. Her support and wisdom have been invaluable, making me fall in love with art even more. Art has become an integral part of my life. I am immersed in it 24/7, and this deep connection is what enables me to create meaningful and impactful pieces. My mentor's influence and my dedication to continuous learning and experimentation are the cornerstones of my artistic process.
